Senior Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting within the financial services industry, demonstrating strong analysis skills and a solid understanding of risk management and internal audits. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's financial integrity, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and auditing processes. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing internal controls, and enhancing our accounting practices using advanced accounting software.

Responsibilities:

Plan, set up and administer accounting systems

Supervise staff

Train staff

Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies

Prepare financial statements and reports

Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices

Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure

Prepare income tax returns from accounting records

Analyze financial documents and reports

Examine accounting records

Provide financial, business and tax advice

Act as trustee in bankruptcy proceedings

Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Pay: $81,235.00 per year
