It is a short-term job until you get out alive and work for a normal place

Smart Employees, great talent, good company vision but they can’t get there with any meaning with the way they treat employees, who inevitably leave quickly, in a steady stream. They should just install a turnstile at the front door. Positives are few but you do learn quickly and grow ( but at the expense of your sanity) Basically, a remarkably demoralizing place run by the most toxic, self-serving director-managers I have ever encountered. Some critique work so deeply, harshly and unrealistically, while their own presentation skills are a cacophony of every second word being the syllable “uh, and then ,uh, you have to uh”... Get over yourselves, stop bullying, stop gossiping, stop threatening. You have somewhat good products, hard workers, you just are not smart enough to realize it or deserve it.

Think Research is a very interesting place. On one hand, you will get exposure to lots of interesting, complex problems and there’s a lot of really smart people working to make healthcare better. On the other, management (i.e C-level) seems to lack a moral compass and will ultimately make decisions based on their own pride and appearances instead of what’s best for the company. This results in what appears to be a really fun culture but ends up being quite awful. I don’t think I fully grasped how messed up it was until I left and worked for a normal company again.
Free booze, cool office, start up vibes
Disorganized structure, no trust in employees to do their work (i.e. no work from home policy), entire HR department is toxic, no clear mandate/product offerings, often told to lie to clients when things aren’t going well, the list goes on

Your coworkers are fantastic, ambitious people whose goal is to be productive and do cool things. TDD is encouraged.
Stories and assignments were frequently half-conceived features where edge cases and simple things were often not caught during the design phase. Great area to improve here. So frequently busy that regular and official performance reviews may not be performed
My Possible Bias
I was present at Think Research for about 8 months and was dismissed for what I believe were inadequate and inaccurate reasons.
