Part-Time Casual Broadcast Journalist / Programming Support

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Casual Broadcast Journalist / Programming Support

to join our VOCM team!

What You’ll Do

· Researching, writing, reporting, and on-air reading.

· Developing and following up on story ideas, gathering news information, and helping maintain the news website.

· Recording, Editing and production of regular programming.

· Ability to monitor social media for provincial news, traffic, and weather information Maintain a professional, respectful, and engaging on-air tone

· Represent VOCM in the community

· Others duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

· Must be willing to work any and all shifts.

· Broad digital and broadcast journalism skills

· Fast-paced environment, must be able to adjust on the fly, work well under pressure while multi-tasking

· Solid news judgment with a team-oriented approach.

· Excellent interviewing, reporting, and writing skills

· Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

· Valid driver’s license.
