Cosmetic Nurse

Innovation Dermatology is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine cosmetic medicine, dermatology, and procedural nursing within a physician-led specialty practice.

About the Role

This is a diverse nursing position that includes cosmetic treatments, dermatology care, patient education, and assisting with in-office procedures. As your skills develop, there will be opportunities to expand your scope of practice through ongoing education and hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Perform cosmetic consultations and educate patients on treatment options.
• Administer cosmetic injectables (or train toward competency under physician guidance).
• Perform advanced cosmetic procedures, including:
• Votiva
• Morpheus8
• Microneedling and RF microneedling
• IPL and laser-based treatments
• Other physician-directed aesthetic procedures
• Assist physicians with dermatologic surgical procedures and in-office surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms, maintain sterile technique, and assist with procedural flow.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and follow-up.
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Contribute to the clinic’s social media presence by creating engaging content, participating in educational videos and patient success stories (with consent), and helping showcase treatments, technology, and life at the clinic.
• Stay informed about current aesthetic trends and help develop creative ideas for patient education and marketing initiatives.
• Help create an exceptional patient experience through professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.
• Participate in ongoing education and training as new technologies and treatments are introduced.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RN or LPN eligible to practice in Alberta.
• Strong nursing assessment and clinical skills.
• Experience in surgical, dermatology, emergency, plastic surgery, women’s health, perioperative, or other procedural nursing is an asset but not required.
• Cosmetic injecting experience is welcomed but not required.
• A genuine interest in aesthetic medicine and willingness to learn new skills.
• Confidence and enthusiasm for creating social media content and engaging with patients in a professional online environment.
• Comfortable being photographed or appearing in educational videos and promotional content.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-centred approach to care.
