Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in construction estimating and project management to contribute to high-profile projects within the industry. The role will play a vital role in bidding processes, budgeting, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards and maintaining our COR safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

Estimating Duties

  • Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracts by analyzing blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Bid Management: Manage the tendering process, including soliciting quotes from vendors and negotiating with subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial risks and project setbacks early to account for contingency costs in the final budget.
  • Market Monitoring: Track fluctuations in material prices and labor rates to maintain an accurate directory of suppliers and unit costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, and Civil Engineering
  • Certifications: Candidates typically require professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or specialized training like OSHA 30.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with estimation software (e.g., Procore) and CAD tools is essential for modern project planning.
  • Soft Skills: Strong mathematical numeracy, attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate effectively are critical for success in this dual role.
