Warehouse Material Handler

Our client, a mining equipment manufacturer, is currently looking for a Warehouse/Material Handler to assist with a variety of tasks in their busy facility located in Thornbury, ON. This is Temporary, Full-time position, Monday to Friday No weekends with a Starting wage of $27.87 an hour.

About the Role

The Warehouse/Material Handler will assist with material handling, including inventory management, internal parts delivery, material sizing, bandsaw & hand tool use, and overhead crane & forklift operation. They will report to the General Supervision of the Warehouse, other duties as assigned.

• Receive & Unload Raw Materials from Suppliers Using Material Handling Equipment Such as For Lift or Crane
• Move Stock to the Appropriate Storage Locations Indoors
• Move Stock to the Appropriate Location Outdoors
• Package & Skid Equipment for Shipping or Transfer to Inventory
• Work Variable Hours to Achieve Stocking, Clean Up & delivery of Material to Work Centers from Time to Time
• Properly Follows & Uses All Safety Equipment & Reports Any Non-Working Safety Devices
• Completes All Required Documentation Such as Time Sheets & Travelers in
• Interprets Basic Drawings & Part Numbers in Order to Identify Parts
• Meets or Exceeds the Production Standards for Volume & Quality of Work
• Works Within Expected Company Standards Relative to Safety, Quality / ISO & Environmental Matters

Qualifications

• 1-3 Years Experience Working in a Warehouse & Production Environment
• Organizational & Time Management Skills
• Attention to Detail & Strong Communication Skills
• Ability to Work Well Independently & in a Team Environment
• Ability to Lift Upwards of 50 Lbs.
• Experience Operating Forklift Required
• Experience Operating Overhead Crane Required
