Job Duties:

• Work safely within the MOL standards and company policies
• Diagnose, repair, replace and/or adjust components and parts of truck systems using required hand tools and other specialized equipment
• Test repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Inspect all areas of the truck systems to ensure that they are safe and compliant with standard PMVI 11b
• Inspect, diagnose and test of all systems and components to locate failures and malfunctions
• Diagnose and research through OEM info systems to determine course of repair
• Clean and maintain machinery, tooling and equipment as guided and required
• Follow published OEM repair and maintenance practices
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repair of equipment as directed and assigned
• Record diagnostic steps, repairs, replaced parts, adjustments, general vehicle and condition and note future repairs where requested or directed
• Understand and give recommendations for repair based on OEM reusability and guidelines
• Inspection of all tools/equipment for safety before use, safe handling of all tools/equipment, reporting and lock out of broken or unsafe tools/equipment.
• Ensure parts are correct and installed correctly to OEM specifications
• Road test driving to evaluate customer complaints, recreate and diagnostics
• Collaborate with the Service Team to manage parts inventory and order necessary supplies.
• Perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
• Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
• Promote the Vision brand and foster growth into new market areas
• All other duties as required and directed

Job Qualifications:

• 310T License is required
• Ontario drivers license with clean abstract
• Completion of a Motive Power Technician program / MAP an asset
• Must own their own tools / toolbox (large or specialty tooling will be provided)
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, eagerness to learn
• A minimum of 5 years experience in heavy truck repair
• Strong diagnostic skills; Mack / Volvo experience is an asset

Pay: $107,078.00-$165,484.00 per year
