Responsibilities:

• Selling new business and cross selling
• Providing service to personal lines clients
• Providing customers with prompt service by providing advice, discussing customer concerns, and including but not limited to walk-ins, emails, and phone calls
• Understanding of insurance coverage options, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations
• Understanding of basic marketing principles and tactics
• Analyze client’s situations and assess risks to make the right recommendations, calculate premiums, and ID coverage gaps
• Entering and updating clients’ information in our BMS system
• Preparing documentation for insurers; completing applications for new clients; and issuing binders
• Communicating with insurance companies and underwriters regarding policy changes, renewals, and new business
• Following up with adjusters on claims status
• Updating of insurance summaries to correspond with current change requests
• Keeping current with activities and workload
• Follow branch workflows

Required Qualifications:

• Alberta general level 1 insurance license
• Small commercial experience of 1+ years
• Ability to speak Punjabi required
• Proficient in Microsoft office 365 experience
• Writing: adequate non-verbal communication skills
• Provide prompt and exceptional customer service
• Effective time management
• Good rapport: accuracy importance is high for this role, consistency, and reliability

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of personal lines experience
• Alberta general level 2 insurance license
• RIBO level 1
• Life license is an asset
• Experience with Epic is an asset
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve, critical think and be detailed oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Able to be pro-active and work both independently, and as a part of a team
• Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and co-workers

Salary:

• $60,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
• Commission option available
