Job Description

We are seeking a full-time designer focused on environmental graphics to work on signage and wayfinding projects.

The core function of the Senior Environmental Graphic Designer is to develop highly engaging designs that help build our client’s brand through environmental graphics, architectural features, and wayfinding strategy. Great graphic design skills are at the core of your knowledge. You have a passion for typography, composition, clear communication, and experience working in the built environment. Environmental Graphic Design involves thinking in three-dimensional form and scale, and as a collaboratively design team we have a wealth of knowledge that will assist in bringing your ideals to form.

In-person collaboration with the team is important to work effectively, achieve great results, and learn from shared knowledge. The BOND team works in studio and virtually only if necessary. Compensation TBD based on experience and qualifications on an hourly basis.

Responsibilities

• Work under the Creative Director in collaboration with the Design Team to help develop projects from concept through implementation and support the design process at all stages
• Work independently through design details, lead coordination with Architects and sub-consultants, and be the day-to-day contact for clients on select projects
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment
• Communicate your concepts from meaningful sources of inspiration
• Create full concept design documentation, construction drawing sets, and coordinate with fabricators through the fabrication and installation process
• The ability to develop sign location plans and message schedules is a plus
• Collaborate with the Creative Director to produce and implement designs
• Final production artwork
• Ability to travel and visit project sites before, during, and after construction to survey conditions and provide quality assurance review. This may require the ability to walk large campuses and active construction sites.
• Actively manage multiple projects at once within the reality of budgets and deadlines
• The ability to read floor plans is a plus

Experience

• Formal education in graphic design or related creative field
• Strong typographic skills
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design or environmental graphic design
• Proficiency in Adobe CC especially Illustrator and CAD Tools plug in
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SketchUp is a plus
• Strong portfolio showcasing a comprehensive approach, from start to finish
• Demonstrate an understanding of wayfinding and the EGD process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
