We have divisions spanning from Ontario, all the way to Alberta. The Forest Ridge division covers a variety of contracts throughout GTA , Hamilton and surrounding areas, with commercial and municipal landscaping projects including hardscaping, softscaping, grading, retaining walls, planting, sodding and snow removal . Year-round work available, including Spring /Summer maintenance and Landscape construction operations

Position Summary :

Urban Life Solutions – Forest Ridge Landscaping is looking for dependable Winter Shovellers to join our winter operations team.You will be responsible for shovelling, salting, and clearing snow and ice at assigned commercial and municipal properties across the Hamilton area .

This position requires you to be available for on-call work 24/7 during winter weather events, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility with shift schedules and the ability to work extended hours during snow events is essential.

Locations available : Hamilton Downtown ,Mountain area , Stoney Creek , Binbrook ,Ancaster ,Dundas ,Waterdown , Welland , Niagara on the lake

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor weather conditions and respond to winter events as required.
• Hand Shoveling and Hand salting to clear snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances etc under the guidance of the crew lead .
• Work safely in snow, ice, and cold weather conditions.
• Assist with other winter maintenance duties and winter equipments as required.

Qualifications :

• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned yard location.
• Previous snow removal or outdoor labour experience is an asset.
• Ability to work outdoors in snow, ice, and cold weather conditions.
• Ability to be on call 24/7 for winter call-outs.

Compensation :

• $20+ per hour, depending on experience, position, and reliability.
• Standby bonus available throughout the winter season for eligible employees.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
