Organization: AquaSilva Resource Management Ltd. (AQS)

Location: Langley, B.C.

Hourly Wage: Commensurate with experience

Hours: 32-40 hrs/week – Term Position Contract with potential for extension

AquaSilva Resource Management Ltd. (AQS) is a small boutique applied environmental consulting firm that specializes in solving aquatic and terrestrial environmental challenges for our clientele who include, municipal governments, regional governments, as well as commercial, residential and industrial land developers.

AQS requires a Junior Environmental Technician who lives in the Lower Mainland Area of B.C.

Do you have an interest in rapid skill acquisition, problem-solving, mitigating environmental effects and implement prescriptions under applied conditions? Are you responsible, responsive and excel in situations where you have a chance to learn to take charge of situations in a fast-paced, work environment?

If so, you may be a great candidate to join the AQS team and grow your career under the direction of highly knowledgeable senior scientists who will offer you on the job and formal training opportunities.

Candidates must have a vehicle, valid BC driver’s license, and have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat DC. The preferred candidate will have a degree in applied biological science, however mature candidates with a technical diploma in wildlife, forestry, vegetation, or aquatic sciences would also be considered.

An electrofishing certificate, Level 1 First Aid Certificate, Environmental Monitoring course along with some exposure to the Coastal British Columbia consulting sector would be considered assets.
