Lat55 Safety based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta is a trusted provider of field-based medic and safety services across Western Canada. We specialize in delivering high-quality, professional medical and safety support to remote worksites in industries such as oil & gas, construction, and forestry. This position is for LOCAL to Dawson Creek EMR/AFA medic industrial projects. Travel to and from site locations is required. Northern BC
We are seeking dedicated and professional Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) and Advanced First Aider's (AFA) licensed in Alberta, British Columbia or Both to join our team on industrial projects across the Dawson Creek/Northern BC area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care, injury assessment, and workplace health support for workers in a remote industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt emergency medical care to workers in accordance to provincial regulations.
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses, and determine when higher-level care or transport is required
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and reporting
- Ensure medical equipment, supplies, and clinic space are stocked, clean, and operational
- Support and participate in site safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and emergency drills
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, HSE personnel, and external medical providers
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current BC, Alberta or Both EMR/AFA license in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (clean abstract)
- Industrial or remote site experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- H2S Alive Energy Safety Canada endorsed
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
