Dock & Door Technician – Saint John

We are seeking a skilled Dock & Door Technician to join our team, providing essential maintenance and repair services for commercial and industrial dock and door systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting manufacturing facilities and customer operations with professionalism and technical expertise.

With branches located in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, we are looking for a Dock and Door Technician in Saint John Branch to join our growing New Brunswick Team

Reporting to the Service Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Dock and Door installation, maintenance, and inspection
  • Perform repairs in addition to installation and maintenance dock and door parts
  • Service will include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as per the equipment
  • Diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs
  • Analyze and diagnose dock levelers, vehicle restraints
  • Performing Preventative Maintenance inspections on warehouse facilities
  • Install dock equipment including shelters, seals, lights, bollards, vehicle restraints, levelers, high speed doors, and overhead doors

Skill Requirements:

  • Good analytical skills to diagnose mechanical problems with minimal supervision
  • Good mechanical aptitude with an ability to service a diverse range of equipment
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with co-workers and managers; positive attitude, and good work ethics
  • Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs at one time
  • Ability to complete paperwork for multiple jobs accurately and timely
  • Current and suitable driver’s abstract and driver’s license
  • Strong welding skills
