Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our construction rental company in Whistler. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting construction equipment and materials to various job sites, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient driving, and effective communication with clients and team members. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting the construction industry with essential rental equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver construction rental equipment to job sites in the sea-to-sky cooridor
  • Load and unload heavy equipment using appropriate moving techniques and tools, including forklifts when necessary
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation and loading/unloading activities
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate inventory and ensure timely dispatch of rental items

Experience

  • Can read and write English
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, or construction equipment delivery is preferred
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Able to lift 70 lbs
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of moving techniques for large or heavy items is desirable
  • Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and submit a driver's abstract
  • Experience working in construction or related industries is advantageous
