Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Dining Room Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food service operations, and the ability to manage multiple tables with professionalism. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of POS systems such as Micros POS. Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of customer service
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
  • Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas according to sanitation guidelines

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
  • Must have current Step 2 TB test, food handlers and smart serve certificate
  • Current criminal and vulnerable check (within 6 months)
  • Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Familiarity with food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Basic kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within the hospitality industry
