Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

Subcontractor Position | Remote with Local Office Availability (Burnaby or Vernon, BC)

Diversified Rehabilitation Group is a leading provider of vocational rehabilitation, disability management, psychological services, and return-to-work solutions across Canada. We are currently seeking experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists / Psychometricians to join our team on a subcontractor basis.

These positions are primarily remote, with occasional availability required at our Burnaby or Vernon office locations. We are currently recruiting one professional to support each region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated rehabilitation professional who is passionate about helping individuals overcome barriers, identify meaningful career opportunities, and successfully return to the workforce. You will work collaboratively with referral sources, employers, treatment providers, and clients to develop individualized vocational and return-to-work solutions that support long-term success.

Compensation$35.00 - $42.00 per hourCompensation is based on education, professional credentials, experience, and scope of services provided.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments and evaluations.

· Complete Transferable Skills Analyses (TSAs).

· Administer and interpret psychometric assessments.

· Interview clients and review medical, educational, and vocational assessments to determine service needs and readiness.

· Provide vocational counselling, guidance, and ongoing client support.

· Assist clients in exploring alternative employment and educational opportunities.

· Research labour market trends, employment opportunities, and training resources.

· Develop, implement, and monitor return-to-work plans and vocational rehabilitation strategies.

· Collaborate with employers, referral sources, and service providers to facilitate employment outcomes.

· Negotiate training opportunities, work placements, and employment accommodations.

· Provide job search training, employment preparation, and job coaching services.

· Evaluate and monitor job placement.

· Recommend workplace modifications, adaptive equipment, transportation support, and accommodations where appropriate.

· Prepare professional reports and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • University degree preferred (psychology, education, kinesiology, social work, health sciences, rehabilitation etc.).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience providing vocational rehabilitation services, including: career transferable skills assessments, vocational counselling, and/or job search skills/job placement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • One of the following designations: RRP, CVRP, CVP, CVRP-F, MCVP, CCRC/CRC, RVP or CCVE
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Strong understanding of the labour market trends and employment services.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
