The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our construction projects from the ground up. Key Responsibilities

Site Surveying & Layout:

  • Conduct detailed topographical surveys and establish accurate survey control points on construction sites.
  • Perform site layout and setting out operations to ensure structures are built in accordance with design specifications.
  • Use advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners to collect precise measurements.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Process and analyze survey data to produce detailed maps, drawings, and reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review design plans and ensure that the construction layout adheres to project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all survey activities for project compliance and quality control.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Monitor construction progress and perform periodic surveys to verify that work is aligned with established benchmarks.
  • Identify discrepancies and potential issues early, recommending corrective actions to maintain the integrity of the project.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and site managers, to support project objectives.
  • Provide technical advice and on-site support to resolve any surveying-related challenges.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute insights to improve overall construction accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Professional accreditation or certification in surveying is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Hands-on expertise with modern surveying equipment and software.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong understanding of construction layouts, design plans, and topographical mapping.
  • Proficiency in using surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar) to produce detailed plans and reports.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology, total stations, laser scanning, and other surveying tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects concurrently.
