HEATH CARE AIDE, MENTAL HEALTH CARE WORKER

. Basic Computer Skills

· Experience In Community Mental Health

· The Ability To Speak, Read And Write Clear And Comprehensible English.

JOB TITLE: Health Care Worker (Mental Health) HCW or HCA

JOB SUMMARY: The program mandate is to provide support,

care, and assistance for adults (male and female) with mental health conditions in a

community based residential rehabilitative facility. Facilities are 8-10 beds.

Facilities are licensed by Vancouver Coastal Heath and City of Richmond Health.

DUTIES (in compliance with Community Care Act and Facility Policies & Protocols) include:

-following individual client care plans and facility schedules

-administering medications

-following prescribed treatment plans

-meal preparation and service following meal plans

-housecleaning

-laundry

-documentation

-communication with Administrator, Facility Nurse, coworkers, resources

-health and safety of residents and facility in compliance with Policies, Procedures,

and administrative directives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be: Energetic, Sociable, have Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Experience in the field of mental health would be an asset.

Candidates will be required to obtain and/or have:

-HCW or HCA certification and BC CARE AIDE REGISTRATION -BC Care Aide Registry In Good Standing

-ID: BCID or BC Driver’s License, proof of Canadian citizenship or status

-Current First Aid

-Food Safe Level 1

-COVID immunization, TB test, Hepatitis B and Influenza Vaccination

-English (required)

Criminal Record Checks will be required if you are a successful candidate

and will be processed on site.

Orientation shifts and training are provided and paid.

WAGE RATE

UNION: BCGEU, HEU and BENEFITS based on eligibility. Start Rate: $27.92

Job Types: Permanent, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $27.92-$29.60 per hour
