Full job description
Inbox Monster is looking for a Jr. to Intermediate Product Manager to assist in the continued development of our Email Signals platform. Working side-by-side with the Head of Product, the Product Manager will help gather and translate feature requests and technical support issues into user stories, manage the product roadmap for their respective areas, conduct feedback sessions with staff and clients, prepare software documentation, and more.
Salary Range - 70k (Junior Range) to 95k (Intermediate Range) CAD Annually.
Reporting Manager: Head of Product
Core Responsibility Summary:
- Feature Request Queue Management: Manage incoming feature requests and translate them into JIRA stories for Engineering. This may require collaborating with UX Design and Engineering.
- Technical Support Queue Management: Review incoming bug submissions, replicate them, and create bug stories within JIRA for Engineering.
- Product Backlog Grooming Meeting: Attend regular meetings with Engineering where you will present Feature Request and Bug stories to Engineering.
- Meet with Account Managers and Clients regularly to understand product usability and capture / document feedback that will be translated into user stories.
- Create release notes for clients and staff after each software release that document all changed items.
- Create product functionality documentation for existing and new features that showcases ‘how to use’ the new functionality for clients.
- Perform daily system audits on core systems (Email, SMS, and Creative Rendering)
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with project management and interpersonal communication abilities (ability to produce professional reports and present to senior-level executives within client organizations).
- Demonstrated proficiency with software architecture and design patterns including user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces.
- Demonstrated customer-service orientation with effective interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of marketing and IT professionals.
- Proven capacity to balance the need to operate independently or work as part of a team, as various tasks may require.
- Demonstrated ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to both technical and non-technical end-users.
- Ability to satisfactorily perform essential duties listed in the Position Work Listing.
Mental Demands
- Independently plan and manage work day and work unsupervised.
- Work effectively with a wide variety of individuals and groups (Engineering, Marketing, Professional Services).
- Most tasks require meticulous attention to detail and systematic problem-solving abilities.

Technology Responsibilities
- Stays informed of emerging industry trends by reading reports/publications, participating in training webinars, and attending industry conferences. Contribute to thought leadership in the industry by, for instance, taking part in industry working groups.
- Provides constructive feedback in order to optimize processes and provide additional value to clients, when possible.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders and other members of the leadership team to ensure timely completion of project deliverables and proactively communicating any unexpected deadline slips.
- Assists in the coordination and completion of special projects as appropriate.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years working in a Software Product Management / Technological Role.
- Desired - 3+ plus years with experience in digital marketing, specifically Email, SMS, and CRM technologies.
