Role and Facility Information

The Urology Service at Langley Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time urologist to join a well-established local group of two full-time urologists. This is an excellent opportunity to build a comprehensive and busy practice within a supportive community hospital environment.

Position Overview: The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general urology services, which currently include:

Uro-Oncology

  • Radical cystectomy
  • Prostatectomy
  • Kidney cancer surgery

Reconstructive Urology

  • Sling procedures

-Stone Disease - High - Volume Stone Centre

  • Endourology and advanced stone management
  • Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
  • Participation in a high-volume regional stone program

The successful applicant will join a collegial local team of two full-time urologists and participate in monthly Uro-Oncology rounds. The position includes inclusion in a regional weekend call group, providing shared call coverage and balanced workload distribution. Prior independent clinical experience is preferred.

As a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of Urology, UBC.

US board certified physicians, due to recent regulatory changes in British Columbia, you may be eligible for full speciality class licensure through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia based on being certified as an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member.
