Job description and tasks

In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:

• Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
• Participation in departmental meetings
• Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
• Performing other department related administrative duties

Required Qualifications

University Degree in Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, or related disciplines.
Demonstrable expertise* in the following four areas:

• Interactive Media
• Creativity Theory and Application
• Systems Thinking / Complex Adaptive Systems
• Scripting and Computational Principles

In addition, demonstrable expertise* in three or more of the following five areas:

• Interactive Art / Cyberart
• Physical Computing / Tangible Media
• Interactive Video, Music and/or Sound Art
• Game Design
• Web Design

• Expertise can be demonstrated by a combination of:

• conferred academic credentials (degrees, diplomas, certificates, university coursework)
• teaching experience
• professional experience
• published work and/or research, artistic practice or performance

Excellent English communication skills

Assets:

• Teaching experience at the College level an asset
• Activity or design-based teaching experience an asset
• Team-teaching experience an asset
• General knowledge of French is an asset.
