Learning Online Group pty ltd

Canadian Photography School – Course Sales Consultant

Introduction:

Learning Online Group is one of the leading online course providers across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, with multiple education brands across these countries.

One of our fantastic brands, The Canadian Photography School, is a leading online photography education provider in Canada. We teach students across areas such as portrait, landscape, wedding, wildlife, and editing, helping them turn their passion into a career or side hustle.

Since launching in 2019 we've grown rapidly across Australia and New Zealand, and our Canadian arm is now well established and continuing to grow. As we expand the team, we're looking for more local Course Consultants. If you've worked in photography, camera retail, studios, or any creative field, and you're confident talking to people, we'd love to hear from you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Every day, people across Canada enquire through our website wanting to learn photography. They've already shown interest and requested information. Your role is to call them, understand their goals, build rapport, and guide them towards the right course for their needs.

This is a phone-based sales role, but it's very relationship driven. The people who do well here are warm, engaging, confident communicators who know how to connect naturally with customers while also being comfortable asking for the sale.

You'll be...

  • Calling warm leads who have already enquired
  • Learning about students' goals and interests
  • Recommending suitable photography courses
  • Guiding students through the enrolment process
  • Working towards sales targets and KPIs
  • Building confidence through ongoing coaching and training

No cold calling involved. Every person you speak to has already expressed interest.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Industry experience is genuinely valued here. When you've actually worked in photography, you can talk to students like a peer who gets it, and that builds trust fast. Some of our best Course Consultants have backgrounds such as:

  • Camera retail consultants (Henry's, Vistek, Best Buy camera departments)
  • Working photographers (portrait, wedding, event, landscape)
  • Studio assistants or coordinators
  • Photo lab or print technicians
  • Videographers or content creators
  • Customer service or telesales/retail sales experience

What matters most is:

  • A genuine passion for photography
  • A warm, energetic, and engaging personality
  • Confidence speaking with people on the phone
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliability, organisation, and consistency
  • A competitive nature and motivation to hit targets

Sales experience is a bonus, and even basic sales or retail experience is highly valued, but we can teach the sales process. What's harder to teach is personality, energy, and the ability to genuinely connect with people.

Package & Remuneration:

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Strong performers earn well above base.

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission
  • Total average earnings between $75,000 - $100,000
  • Weekly incentives
  • Paid time off
  • Full training provided

The Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 11:00am – 7:00pm
  • Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm
  • All hours are worked in office

Why people love this role:

  • Warm leads only, no cold calling
  • Ongoing coaching and development
  • Stable base with real commission upside
  • Work in an exciting and growing photography education industry
  • Supportive team culture with career growth opportunities

Why people stay:

  • Real career growth opportunities. We're scaling globally and promote from within
  • Proper training and ongoing support, not a "figure it out yourself" environment
  • A team culture where people genuinely enjoy working together
  • You get to talk about photography all day and get paid for it

Interested?

If you love photography, enjoy talking to people, and want to build a career in a fast-paced sales environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Send us your CV along with a short note (2–3 paragraphs is perfect) telling us:

  • Why this role caught your attention
  • Why you think you'd be a great fit for the team

We read every application.
