Assistant General Manager

SILENT H Restaurant | Toronto, ON (On-Site)

About the Opportunity

SILENT H is seeking an exceptional Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team of one of Toronto’s most ambitious hospitality destinations.

This is more than an operations role, it is a leadership position responsible for driving performance, developing future leaders, and ensuring excellence across every aspect of the business. As the Assistant General Manager, you will serve as a key partner to the General Manager and ownership team, helping shape the culture, standards, and long-term success of the organization.

The ideal candidate is a highly driven hospitality professional with a proven ability to lead teams, inspire accountability, and execute at an exceptional level. You understand that outstanding guest experiences are created through strong leadership, operational discipline, and an unwavering commitment to people development.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing financial performance, developing leaders, and ensuring that every department consistently delivers excellence. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while maintaining a strong presence throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Development

  • Serve as a senior leader and cultural ambassador for the organization.

  • Support the development and execution of annual business plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage labour costs, operating expenses, and profitability targets.
  • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive revenue generation through operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team performance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to achieve and exceed business objectives.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of expansion opportunities and future projects.

Culture & Brand Excellence

  • Protect and strengthen the SILENT H brand through leadership and consistency.
  • Champion company values and create an environment where excellence is expected and celebrated.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, employees, vendors, and industry partners.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, nightlife, or luxury service environments.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Manager, Floor Manager, Bar Manager, or Assistant General Manager preferred.
  • Proven success leading large teams and developing management-level talent.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence while maintaining an outstanding guest experience.
  • Passion for hospitality, leadership development, and business growth.
  • Open to supporting future expansion projects and new venue openings across Canada and the United States.

Compensation

Annual Compensation Range:

$90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year

Total compensation consists of base salary, performance incentives, and estimated gratuities.
