Full job description

Who We Are:

Taiv is a fast-growing tech startup located in Winnipeg, Canada. Taiv uses AI to make business TV more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage, starting with bars and restaurants. We’ve built proprietary tech that uses computer vision to watch live TV and improve the content with contextually-aware commercials, content, and games. Our tech also automates the manual AV tasks that venues have to do every day, to make bar management easier, standardized, and more profitable. We’re venture-capital backed and graduated from Y Combinator, the world’s top tech accelerator, in winter 2020. Program alumni include Airbnb, Instacart, DoorDash, etc. (www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies).

We are looking for a Business Generalist to join our team!

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a passionate individual who is willing to go above and beyond to help our team thrive. This is “launchpad” role; perfect for a fresh-grad who is looking to kickstart their career at the fastest growing company in Manitoba. The opportunity here is real: you're joining a company that has built something genuinely unique, is backed by serious investors, and cares about its employees.

As a Business Generalist, your role would be to ensure the day-to-day success of Taiv in all areas. The two main aspects of your job will be to properly maintain and improve existing processes, and to become an expert problem solver. This is a unique role, given that you’ll touch almost every department in the company on a weekly basis. We want someone who loves that every day can bring a new challenge!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own managing the day-to-day operations of the Taiv office.

  • Own employee onboarding/offboarding

  • Assist with special projects related to different departments, particularly operations, finance, marketing, and HR.

  • Assist in team event planning and coordination of event logistics.

  • Assist in Taiv’s hiring process by scheduling interviews, coordinating funnels, running screener interviews, and working with recruiters.

  • Assist in marketing creation, including writing blog posts and cultivating other forms of content.

  • Be the general point of contact around the office for any questions.

Who You Are:

  • You’re a team player with a strong work ethic.

  • You’re a swiss army knife - you can be thrown into a multitude of situations and thrive.

  • You are a people person - you love meeting people and people love meeting you.

  • You are highly organized and can manage tasks, schedules, and resources effectively.

  • You value communication and collaboration with members of the team.

  • You consistently demonstrate strong analytical skills and show a keen attention to detail.

  • You have an eagerness to learn and grow.

  • You possess time management skills and can balance having several tasks on-the-go.

  • You’re a reliable and responsible person who can adapt to new tasks and situations.

Your Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a bachelors of commerce degree

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Basic/intermediate level Google Sheets knowledge is an asset

  • Located in Winnipeg

Perks:

  • Employee stock options

  • 100% employer-covered health benefits

  • Flex-time & unlimited paid vacation

  • Gym membership

  • Catered lunches 3x per week

  • Dog-friendly office

  • Hybrid work model

  • Free parking on-site

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary: $50,000-$55,000 + stock options
