  • You'll review broker placements every month to ensure that the broker authority adheres to our standards.

  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you'll reconcile financial discrepancies promptly.

  • You'll be responsible for negotiating terms and pricing with our broker partners to ensure sustainable, profitable business.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our broker partners, promoting Aviva products, and prioritizing service levels will be key.

  • You'll represent Aviva at industry or broker events and provide feedback and support to the Segment Leader as required.

What you’ll bring

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines property and casualty underwriting or a technical support function. You must be confident and comfortable managing a high level of autonomy while being accountable for your responsibilities.

  • Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to articulate well via phone, email, and virtual meetings.

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to adapt to portfolio underwriting.

  • Superior organization and time-management skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, priority-changing environment.

  • A good technical aptitude including sound working knowledge of MS Office Suite products.

  • Vested interest in learning and building a career in the commercial insurance space with an emphasis on portfolio underwriting. CIP designation or enrollment is desirable
