Overview
Twist Construction Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The Truck Driver will operate various types of vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Tandem truck, pup, equipment trailer to transport material or equipment to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of material or equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Operate heavy equipment or forklifts when required for loading/unloading tasks.

Experience

  • Proven experience in driving with a valid class 1 driver's license
  • Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is a plus.
  • Experience loading heavy equipment highly desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
