Full job description

We are a well-established specialty clinic in Coquitlam seeking a Lice Technician & Clinic Assistant to support in-clinic services and occasional home visits. This is a hands-on, client-facing role working primarily with families and children.

Full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform lice screenings and treatment services
  • Conduct detailed hair and scalp combing
  • Educate clients on aftercare and prevention
  • Answer phones and book appointments
  • Assist with opening/closing the clinic
  • Support basic clinic operations when the owner is away
  • Occasionally travel to client homes for scheduled visits
  • Occasionally assist with scheduled school or community visits (training provided)

Schedule: Full-time (35-40 hours per week). Weekend availability is required. Additional weekday hours may be required as needed.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable working closely with hair and scalp
  • Calm, patient, and detail-oriented
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working with families and children
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Comfortable driving locally for occasional home visits
  • Basic computer and communication skills

Compensation

  • Starting at $22 per hour
  • Increase to $24 per hour after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period and satisfactory performance
  • Paid training
  • Mileage reimbursed for home visits
  • Opportunity for additional hours over time

Health, dental and vision benefits begin after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.
