We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant retail team! In this pivotal role, you will lead daily store operations, motivate and manage staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales growth, optimize inventory management, and uphold the highest standards of store presentation. Duties

• Oversee daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service to ensure smooth functioning and achievement of sales targets
• Lead, train, and develop retail staff through employee orientation, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team
• Manage payroll, scheduling, and budgeting activities to maintain operational efficiency and cost control
• Supervise merchandising efforts by implementing effective product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize sales potential
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience for all visitors
• Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to attract talented team members aligned with store goals
• Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and purchasing procedures
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued
• Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for sales transactions and inventory calculations
• Skilled in negotiation, team management, training & development, and operational oversight
• Ability to lead by example with managerial communication skills that motivate staff toward shared goals
• Experience with retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and merchandising techniques
• Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment; previous grocery or wireless sales experience is a plus
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices; familiarity with retail store product knowledge is preferred
