Your Role
A Steward's role is to set the stage for the culinary team to deliver excellent customer service to our guests and customers. The primary duties include washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
The Steward is primarily responsible for:
- Wash all main kitchen and banquet kitchen dishes, glassware, and cutlery to ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times;
- Clean the dishwashing machines, and jet components, including closing jet flaps;
- Wash pots and pans, including kitchen utensils. Wash display mirrors in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen;
- Clean ovens and stoves;
- Sweep and mop the main kitchen floor, ensuring no debris is left under prep/cook areas or stoves;
- Empty all garbage containers in the main kitchen and banquet kitchen into garbage dumpsters/recycling containers;
- Break down all empty boxes and deposit them into a trash compactor or designated pick-up area. Once compacted, tie broken boxes with wire;
- Clean loading dock daily;
- Clean/maintain the cleanliness of the staff cafeteria, dishes, and cutlery;
- Ensure the work area is clean and properly sanitized at all times;
- Any other duties as assigned.
In addition to the core job responsibilities, the Steward will illustrate the ability and passion to:

What you bring to the table
- Previous experience not required;
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities;
- Highly responsible & reliable;
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team;
- Ability to meet the physical aspects of the position including but not limited to:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift;
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs;
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling;
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps;
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
