Full job description

Well-established Construction Firm with 20+ years in the market is seeking for experienced and motivated caulking installers to join our growing team. Successful candidates will work on commercial, institutional, and high-rise construction projects in the GTA*

*Reliable transportation to work in jobsites for locations outside the GTA when required is a must

Summary

This position involves the installation of caulking and related accessories for interior and exterior of buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Install caulking and sealant on precast joints, dissimilar materials, windows/door frames and panels.
  • Install interior finish caulking.
  • Remove and replace defective or damaged caulking.
  • Complete mock-ups, touch-ups and deficiency repairs as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with loading/offloading materials onsite and general site duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications when required.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with hand tools and caulking installation (Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Valid Full-G driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and punctuality.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Caulkers with proven experience working off aerial platforms and/or swing stage will be a good plus ($$)
  • Preferred: Experience on installation of firestopping (semi-rigid insulation) and smoke seals
  • Preferred: Experience on installation of air vapor barrier and thermal insulation
