Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently in particular late-night service. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred to deliver outstanding customer service and support smooth restaurant operations. Position pays hourly plus a tip-out.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Open Table or similar platforms
  • Manage restaurant capacity limits on a busy Friday and Saturday night.
  • Checking for ID at the door if necessary.
  • Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback courteously
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes guest satisfaction
  • Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure seamless restaurant operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in guest services, or hospitality roles preferred
  • Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Open Table, is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor while upholding our capacity and legal age requirements
  • Previous restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to work evenings on Friday and Saturday nights
