Job Summary

Join our dynamic ophthalmology team as a Versatile Ophthalmic Technician, where your skills will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this energetic role, you will perform a variety of technical and administrative duties, ensuring patients receive exceptional service from check-in to exam completion. Your adaptability and technical expertise will support ophthalmologists in delivering precise diagnoses and effective treatments, all while maintaining a positive and efficient clinic environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills across multiple facets of eye care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients at the front desk with check-in, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification to ensure a smooth patient flow.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-examination procedures including visual acuity testing, intraocular pressure measurement, and patient history collection.
  • Operate specialized ophthalmic equipment such as visual filed analyzers, autorefractors, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) devices with precision. We will provide training.
  • Maintain accurate records, documenting patient interactions thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout exams.
  • Support clinical staff with tasks like taking down patient information, vision testing, and assisting during minor procedures or treatments
