OVERVIEW

The Collision Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

Technicians are paid flat rate and have the potential to earn 100-120 hours per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow OEM repair procedures and read repair orders
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and other body defects using dolly and hammers
  • Fill imperfections using plastic and sand to pre-paint condition
  • Remove all damaged parts and work with repair planners to capture hidden damages
  • Straighten bent frames using Caroliner/Celette frame rack
  • Weld, rivet steel/aluminium replacement parts
  • Replace windshields, side window and sunroofs
  • Inspect completed repairs to ensure repairs are aligned with company standards
  • Complete OEM training online and inclass

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-4 years of collision and structural repair experience
  • Valid 310B license is required
  • Valid G-Class driver's license is required
  • I-Car training and welding certifications considered an asset
  • Technicians are required to own their own set of standard technician hand tools and toolbox
