Full job description

We are looking for an experienced full-time Medical Office Assistant to join our busy practice in downtown Vancouver. You must possess an excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and oral. The successful candidate will be working in a busy group environment reporting to one physician and/or the office manager and must be a team player. Excellent computer skills required.

DUTIES include: reception, booking of appointments/scheduling of endoscopies, busy phone lines, billing, scanning and uploading of files, daily communication to physician and or nurse electronically with patient concerns. Experience with EMR (Telus CHR) would be a definite asset otherwise training will be provided. Organization of physician`s academic schedule including meetings, rounds, teaching duties, and research projects.

QUALIFICATIONS: minimum of two years experience in a specialist's office preferred.

EDUCATION: MOA diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: wage will be commensurate with experience $19.00-$23.00 per hour
