Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule crews installing, repairing, and maintaining civil infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and power systems
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate activities with other departments or subcontractors
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Train or arrange training for workers
• Ensure health & safety rules and policies are followed on every site
• Prepare work reports, including daily site safety reports, trouble ticket reports, closeouts, and daily progress reports
• Perform site maintenance activities and troubleshoot configuration issues
• Work with the NOC on Fault Management, Configuration Management, and Performance Management tools

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in telecommunications or a related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience installing and maintaining wireless communication systems, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Experience with coax and fiber testing, RRU and antenna installation, coax termination, DC power lines, and troubleshooting — an asset
• Working knowledge of fall protection practices/procedures and tower rescue techniques
• General construction experience — an asset
• Rope access work or climbing tickets — an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work professionally with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, focused on practical solutions to complex technical challenges
• Willing and available to work overtime, weekends, and travel out of town (including to other provinces where VTS operates: BC, AB, SK, MB)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
