Our Client
Dynamic Agencies is a Saskatchewan-based manufacturer's representative agency specializing in hydronic heating, HVAC, and mechanical solutions, supporting customers throughout Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario.
For more than 40 years, the company has built its reputation by showing up when customers need them most. Contractors, engineers, wholesalers, and end users rely on Dynamic Agencies not only for quality products, but for the technical expertise, responsiveness, and support that extend far beyond the sale. It's an approach that has helped build lasting relationships throughout the industry and continues to set the company apart today.
As the business continues to grow, they are looking to add a Technical Support and Sales Specialist who will help strengthen that commitment to service while supporting customers, contractors, and industry partners across their territory.
The Opportunity
If you're the person everyone calls when the equipment isn't working, the controls aren't behaving, or no one can figure out what's gone wrong…keep reading.
As Technical Support Specialist, you'll put that experience to work supporting contractors, engineers, wholesalers, and manufacturers across the hydronics, HVAC, and mechanical industry. You'll troubleshoot issues, support startups, deliver training, prepare technical quotations and proposals, and become the trusted resource customers rely on when they need answers. Working closely with customers and industry partners, you'll also contribute to business development by recommending technical solutions, supporting product selection, and helping identify new opportunities.
This is an opportunity to stay very close to the technical side of the industry while building trusted relationships, expanding your expertise, and establishing yourself as a valued technical resource within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
As Technical Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:
1. Technical Support & Problem Solving
- Provide technical support to contractors, wholesalers, engineers, manufacturers, and end users across Dynamic Agencies’ product portfolio.
- Troubleshoot boilers, controls, pumps, hydronic systems, HVAC equipment, and related mechanical systems over the phone and in the field.
- Ask the right questions, identify the root issue, and guide customers toward practical, safe, and effective solutions.
- Support warranty-related questions and act as a liaison between customers, contractors, and manufacturers when issues need to be resolved.
2. Startup, Field Support & Application Guidance
- Support product startups, commissioning activities, and site visits for boilers, pumps, controls, and related mechanical systems.
- Verify installations align with manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and hydronic design principles while supporting contractors through startup and commissioning processes.
- Help contractors resolve application, installation, and system performance concerns using practical, technically sound solutions.
- Provide practical guidance throughout installation, startup, troubleshooting, and project turnover.
3. Training, Presentations, & Customer Confidence
- Deliver product training, troubleshooting support, and technical education to engineers, wholesalers, contractors, and customers.
- Support presentations and product education for customers and industry partners as needed.
- Help customers better understand the products, systems, and installation practices that support long-term performance.
4. Customer Relationships & Industry Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and end users while supporting long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
- Represent Dynamic Agencies with professionalism, humility, and a service-first approach.
- Provide responsive technical support that strengthens customer confidence and long-term partnerships.
5. Business Development & Product Expertise
- Prepare quotations, proposals, equipment selections, technical submittals, and present proposals, while following opportunities through to completion.
- Identify opportunities to introduce products, support specification development, and contribute to continued business growth.
- Support customers in evaluating products and technical solutions by providing accurate, application-focused recommendations that build confidence and help them make informed decisions.
- Continue building product knowledge through manufacturer training, industry education, and hands-on experience.
Qualifications
The Essentials (Hard Skills):
- Experience with hydronic heating systems, boilers, controls, pumps, HVAC systems, or related mechanical equipment.
- Technical troubleshooting experience gained through wholesale distribution, mechanical contracting, field service, commissioning, technical sales, engineering technology, or a related environment.
- Experience working for a manufacturer's representative agency, wholesale distributor, or within the hydronics, HVAC, or mechanical industry is an asset.
- Strong understanding of how mechanical systems are installed, commissioned, and applied.
- Experience supporting contractors, engineers, customers, or end users with technical issues and problem resolution.
- Experience delivering technical training, presentations, or product education.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- Experience preparing quotations, equipment selections, technical submittals, or proposals is an asset.
- Working knowledge of hydronic system design, product application, and system sizing is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using manufacturer selection software, quotation tools, CRM systems, or similar technical software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario.
The Intangibles (Soft Skills):
- A service-first professional who enjoys solving problems and helping customers succeed.
- An entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual who thrives in a very busy autonomous environment.
- Relationship-driven with the ability to build trust, identify opportunities, support business development, and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
- A strong listener who asks thoughtful questions and identifies practical solutions.
- Confident communicating technical information to contractors, engineers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and end users.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly to changing customer needs and priorities.
- Technically curious with a desire to continuously learn and expand your expertise.
- A collaborative team player who values accountability, open communication, and doing what's right for the customer.
