Independent Contractor Job Opportunity: Part-Time Martial Arts Instructor
Location: CFTP Etobicoke
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: $25/hour- $27/hour
Hours: 27.5 hours per week

About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Martial Arts Instructor to deliver part-time Taekwondo instruction for our after-school program and eavning classes. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional passionate about youth development and martial arts education.

Key Details:

  • Hourly Rate: $25-27/hour (1099 contractor)
  • Weekly Hours: 27.5 hours
  • Schedule: Afternoon and early evening hours; flexibility based on program needs

Scope of Work:

  • Instruct students in Taekwondo in a structured, supportive environment
  • Foster safety, respect, and discipline in every class
  • Maintain attendance records and monitor student progress
  • Assist with belt testing, events, or demonstrations

Contractor Requirements:

  • Kukkiwon Certification –1st - 3rd Dan or higher (Requirement)
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 12 months)
  • Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and classroom leadership skills
  • Prior martial arts instruction experience strongly preferred
  • Must pass background checks as required

Important Notes:

  • This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position
  • Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits
