Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Backup Administrator to join our client's dynamic IT operations team. This is a full time permanent position which is hybrid - 3 days onsite based in Toronto, ON.

Must-Have Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of hands-on enterprise backup administration experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale backup and recovery environments.
  • Strong expertise in backup operations, restore activities, recovery testing, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting backup failures, restore issues, performance bottlenecks, storage issues, and operational incidents.
  • Experience supporting production environments within enterprise organizations.
  • Candidates should have strong experience with one or more of the following:
  • Veritas NetBackup
  • NBU Flex Appliance
  • Commvault
  • Veeam
  • Rubrik
  • NinjaOne
  • Other comparable enterprise backup platforms

Infrastructure & Platform Experience

  • Windows Server administration
  • Linux administration
  • Virtualization platform backup and recovery
  • Enterprise storage technologies
  • Database backup integrations
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution
  • Strong understanding of RPO and RTO objectives
