Full job description

Brycon is currently seeking CAD Technicians to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting project delivery through accurate quantity takeoffs, construction layout preparation, and 3D modeling for civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed CAD drawings for heavy civil construction projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and calculations from drawings and models
  • Develop and manage 3D models for construction planning and execution
  • Assist with construction layout, including coordinate geometry and field data preparation
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Revise drawings based on project changes and field feedback

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
  • Experience with 3D modeling in a civil construction environment
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, surveying, and layout principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in heavy civil construction projects
  • Familiarity with GPS machine control and survey data workflows
  • Knowledge of earthworks and infrastructure construction methods
