Job Summary

We are excited to offer incredible opportunities for passionate and experienced Direct Service Professionals (Front Line Residential Staff) to join our new team in LONDON. In this role, candidates will play a key part in providing comprehensive support and care to residents in a residential facility. OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring full-time and part-time positions. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR shift work on a rotational schedule including Days, Evenings and WEEKENDS (Mandatory)

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide daily care and assistance with hygiene requirements for individuals in a residential setting.
  • Support young adults and adults with complex needs, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Accompany clients to the any day program activities, assisting with recreational activities and fostering engagement.
  • Support clients during community outings and activities, promoting social interaction and inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including logs, goal tracking, communication books, and incident reports.
  • Provide regular updates to supervisors on clients’ progress and development.
  • Implement and support Behaviour Support Plans and Individual Support Plans to meet clients’ needs.
  • Assist clients in building independence and acquiring new skills through tailored learning opportunities.
  • Ensure Behaviour Support Plans are consistently followed to support client success and well-being.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completion of a Child and Youth Worker, Mental Health Worker, Developmental Service Worker, Social Services Worker Diploma from a Community College or University.
  • (Note: NO PSW Certification will be considered without other relevant college diploma)
  • 3 years minimum direct experience working with individuals with complex developmental disabilities in a residential setting required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong understanding of Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and additional complex needs.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s License with a G Status - required
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification - required
  • Successful completion of a VSS police check and medical clearance in accordance with CRSS policy on pre-employment medical - required
  • Completion of UMAB Canada training – must have by start dates

Compensation

$22.00-$25.00 (Per the Ontario Wage Enhancement Program)
