Ottawa West Community Support is a community support agency that provides services to seniors living in their own homes in Ottawa West area. We are currently seeking qualified staff to visit seniors in their home and provide them with quality care and support, including all ADL's.

The Opportunity

As a Personal Support Worker providing community care, you will be an important part of your clients’ care team. You will be assisting with personal care and all ADL’s and some household tasks, including: light housecleaning, companionship and meal preparation. Successful candidates will have the ability to travel from home-to-home.

Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or Equivalent
  • A negative police record check for vulnerable sector
  • Current CPR/FA certificate
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Ability to travel from client to client
  • Experience with seniors

Ottawa West Community Support requires all employees to be fully immunized with two doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine. Second doses must have been received 14 days prior to official start date with OWCS. Medical exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
