This is a casual position as a placement Instructor

Trillium College is seeking qualified instructors to teach in the Personal Support Worker program. This role involves taking students on their clinical placement as part of the approved curriculum in accordance with the Career Colleges Act, 2005 (Ontario) and internal academic policies.

Personal Support Worker instructors are required to hold an active registration with CNO as either an RN or an RPN with a minimum of 2 years experience as a nurse. This will be an in-person position

Position Summary

The Instructor is responsible for taking students on their clinical placement. Instruction must align with approved curriculum and regulatory

expectations for Ontario career colleges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach course material following the approved syllabus and curriculum guidelines.
  • Use instructional methods appropriate for adult learners.
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and practical assessments.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades.
  • Support a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Comply with all institutional policies and the requirements of the Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in the subject area being taught
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the field being taught
  • Ability to deliver curriculum, assess student learning, and manage a classroom effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or training adults
  • Experience with learning management systems or classroom technology

Monday–Friday

Personal Support Worker instructors are required to hold an active registration with CNO as either an RN or an RPN with a minimum of 2 years experience as a nurse.

The Trillium College Personal Support Worker program is registered as “hybrid” delivery. Students attend at the campus for labs and learn on-line for theory.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
