Full job description
HD Bio Packaging is a growing Canadian food packaging company serving restaurants, supermarkets, distributors and e-commerce customers across Canada and the United States.
We’re looking for a curious and analytical professional to help improve inventory planning, supply chain processes, product development and business efficiency through data, technology and continuous innovation.
This is not a traditional purchasing role.

What You’ll Do
Supply Chain Planning
* Analyze inventory levels, purchasing trends and sales data.
* Develop inventory and replenishment plans based on demand forecasts, lead time and safety stock.
* Identify inventory risks before stock shortages occur.
* Improve inventory turnover while maintaining excellent customer service.
* Reduce emergency purchasing through better planning.
Product & Market Innovation
* Research new food packaging products, market trends and customer needs.
* Identify new product opportunities and innovative packaging solutions.
* Work closely with the Online team to identify products with strong e-commerce potential.
* Support supplier sourcing and new product development.
Systems, Data & AI
* Improve purchasing and inventory processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
* Build reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
* Improve data quality and business visibility.
* Explore AI and automation tools to improve productivity and decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
* Review existing workflows and recommend practical improvements.
* Develop and improve SOPs and business processes.
* Participate in cross-functional improvement projects.
* Support the company’s digital transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory planning, purchasing analysis, operations analysis or business process improvement.
* Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle or similar).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is an asset.
* Experience using AI tools or automation technologies is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Curious, proactive and always looking for better ways to improve the business.
