We are looking for volunteers to join our Events team this upcoming Winter 2026/27. Volunteers with the Events team play a crucial role in supporting with a variety of slope side events, including set up and take down, registration, and helping guests on the mountain. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• No specific certifications are required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 100 hours per season required to uphold volunteer status.
• Proficient use of spoken English.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills with all age groups of guests.
• Polished interpersonal and motivational skills and highly organized.
• Legally able to work in Canada from November 2026 until April 2027.
• Willing to submit to an RCMP criminal record check.
• Undertake required duties as per Sun Peaks Resort LLP operating guidelines.
• Comply with the Alpine Responsibility Code.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• You must be physically able to fully undertake volunteer responsibilities in a safe and diligent manner.
• Able to work outside in all winter weather conditions.
• High degree of physical fitness. Free of injuries that may obstruct duties.
• Lift up to 40kg if participating in assisting with Friday Race Series.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

• Familiarity with Sun Peaks environment, both on the hill and in the village.
• Second language skills are an asset (e.g. German or Spanish).
• Several seasons working or volunteering in the winter tourism industry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set-up and Take-down of Events.
• Registration duties under Events Leadership.
• Base area information (Around and inside the VDL, Guest Services and Parking Drop-Off area).
• Lift Top information (Top of the lifts assisting guests with their run choices etc.).
• Operate according to code of conduct and values statement of SPR LLP.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Event support, including: Base Area Information, off-hill organization, on-hill assisting with set up/take down, assisting timing, etc. May involve carrying supplies when descending the slopes.
• Assist with other events duties (Friday Race Series, and Fondue) as required.
• Assist with special events and evening activities as required.
• Attend all SPRC scheduled orientation and training programs as requested.
