Full job description

Make a difference while working with a great team.

Habitat for Humanity Niagara provides hard-working families access to affordable homeownership. A Habitat home is a “hand-up,” not a handout — helping families build strength, stability, and independence through safe and affordable housing.

We are currently looking for an energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time ReStore Associate to join our Grimsby ReStore team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, likes working with people, and is comfortable helping in both customer service and warehouse/store support areas.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the ReStore, including:

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers, donors, volunteers, and staff
  • Assisting with sales, customer questions, exchanges, refunds, and store credits
  • Helping with donated goods, including receiving, organizing, pricing, and moving inventory
  • Supporting product flow, stock rotation, merchandising, and store presentation
  • Assisting with loading and unloading donations or customer purchases
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized store, warehouse, receiving area, and back lot
  • Ensuring donated items are suitable for sale, clearly priced, and placed appropriately
  • Following all health and safety policies and using proper safety equipment when required
  • Supporting volunteers and working collaboratively with the ReStore team

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Reliable and punctual work habits
  • Flexible availability, including Saturday and Sunday shifts
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism with customers, donors, volunteers, and staff
  • The ability to multi-task in a busy retail and warehouse environment
  • Sound judgment, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Comfort with physical work, including lifting up to 40–50 lbs., bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the day

Assets

The following would be considered an asset:

  • Previous retail, warehouse, or customer service experience
  • Experience working with volunteers or in a non-profit environment
  • Forklift experience, training, or licence
  • Experience with tools or troubleshooting

Why Join Habitat for Humanity Niagara?

  • Meaningful Work: Your efforts directly support affordable housing solutions in Niagara.
  • Team Environment: Work with a passionate, mission-driven team.
  • Variety: No two days are exactly the same — you’ll support customers, donors, inventory, warehouse flow, merchandising, and store operations.
