Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Subway Sandwich Artist, where you will be the friendly face and culinary expert behind our delicious sandwich creations. This role is all about delivering exceptional customer service while preparing fresh, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. As a Subway Sandwich Artist, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing an enjoyable experience for every guest. Your energy and attention to detail will help us serve up smiles and build lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to take orders and answer questions about menu options.
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while upholding product quality.
  • Upsell menu items and suggest add-ons to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures, including sanitation practices and safe storage of ingredients.

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, serving, or food industry roles that demonstrate familiarity with kitchen operations.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for smooth cashiering transactions.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counting.
  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
