Job Overview
Join our team as a Subway Sandwich Artist, where you'll be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service and creating delicious sandwiches in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and hospitality, making it ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry and serving customers. Whether you're experienced in food service or eager to learn, this position is perfect for those who thrive in a team-oriented setting and enjoy engaging with diverse customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to Subway standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Operate the Micros POS system for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
  • Handle cash register operations with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
  • Restock supplies as needed and assist with kitchen organization to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Good time management skills to manage multiple orders during peak hours.
  • Basic math skills for order calculations and cash handling.
  • Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Experience in upselling menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales is advantageous.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
