Contract up to 4 months starting September 2026

Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Adjacent Construction Review Office is seeking a Co-op Student, Adjacent Construction Review who is eager to learn about our organization and lend a helping hand to support this commitment. What will I be doing?

  • Provide administrative support to the Adjacent Construction Review team by managing various tasks such as organizing correspondence, standardizing workflows, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), data entry, filing, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with filing projects in SharePoint, ranging from small to large-scale, by adhering to prescribed rules for file organization, storage, or destruction.
  • Conduct research and analysis to help develop a standardized process for rail data dataset.
  • Review and draft responses to Municipal / Third Party property-related requests.
  • Support Development Application reviews including on-site visits and documentation.
  • Prepare and process registration of Metrolinx Environmental Easement.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned daily tasks.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

  • Must be enrolled in a full-time accredited co-op program in order to be considered for this position.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
  • Enrolled Planning or Civil Engineering or similar program at a post-secondary institution

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience in research, data input and analysis

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote)

  • Must be capable of working independently

  • Knowledge of eGIS is an asset
