Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Neurofeedback Assistant to support our healthcare team in providing exceptional care to patients, particularly veterans. This role involves assisting with neurofeedback therapy sessions, gathering patient data, and supporting overall patient well-being. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate approach, strong organizational skills, and an interest in a future mental health career. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative treatment plans and gain valuable experience in clinical settings.

Candidate can be a current student or recent grad in a psychology related field.

Duties

  • Assist with administering neurofeedback therapy sessions under supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Support patients during sessions by providing reassurance and maintaining a calming environment
  • Collect and record data related to patient responses and progress during therapy sessions
  • Help prepare equipment and materials needed for neurofeedback treatments
  • Monitor patients’ responses and communicate observations to the supervising clinician
  • Support with general patient care activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in medical records
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the treatment area in compliance with health and safety standards

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
