Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Centre Administrator to lead the smooth operation of our Kumon Centre. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate daily activities, manage administrative tasks, and ensure a welcoming environment for staff, students and their families. Your proactive approach will help foster a positive atmosphere that encourages learning, engagement, and community connection. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your leadership and organizational skills.

Duties

  • A detailed eye to oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring all classes run efficiently and smoothly
  • Manage bookings, schedules, and centre materials.
  • Greet visitors warmly, provide information, and assist with inquiries to create a positive first impression
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, registrations, and other administrative data
  • Ensure the centre’s facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
  • Support teaching staff by preparing materials and assisting with classroom or activity setup

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with diverse groups of people
  • Proven experience in administrative roles or customer service settings
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail and professionalism
  • Knowledge of basic office software such as MS Office or Google Workspace
  • Experience or interest in teaching or educational activities is a valuable asset
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork

Preferred but not required

  • Previous Kumon student/knowledge or familiarity with the Kumon program
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in a second language
